Finding myself in live music – Mercy Mercy Mercy (Piano jazz)

I’ve always wanted to be a talented musician and play on stage with an audience, sharing my music. Maybe because I want to express my emotions through music, or maybe because I have something to say, like “Hey people, I have something to tell you!” but I can’t do it with words. I don’t want to talk about things …I want to make people forget their problems for 3 minutes, inspire those who listen the song for the first time and get proud of myself.

When I have the opportunity to play live, like in this video, I feel like I’ve achieved that, and I feel happy. 😄

At the beginning of the song “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy” by Cannonball Adderley, you can hear Adderley speaking to the audience before the music starts.

“Sometimes we’re not prepared for adversity. When it happens, sometimes we’re caught short. We don’t know exactly how to handle it, when it comes up. Sometimes we don’t know just what to do when adversity takes over.”

I hope you like my improvisation and mercy mercy mercy beaucoup for listening. 😃🎹
